I hurt you. I frightened you. There is no excuse. You did nothing to deserve it.
I read that one to his therapist.
Eventually Noah chose to read it.
“Do I have to forgive her?”
“No.”
“Can I?”
“Yes.”
“Do you?”
“No.”
He nodded.
“Okay.”
He put the letter away.
