When they found nothing, they began searching Noah's belongings.
Then Noah accidentally mentioned the silver key.
Vanessa pressured him.
He refused.
She became increasingly cruel.
But there was another reason she needed Box 314.
Her signature appeared on questionable trust transactions.
Daniel had told her they were legitimate household reimbursements.
Margaret's files suggested otherwise.
Vanessa wasn't merely protecting Daniel.
She was protecting herself.
That didn't make Noah's suffering collateral damage.
